More than 800 works of art sent to the secretariat of the first Silk Road calligraphy exhibition

So far, 826 works by artists from different countries have been sent to the secretariat of the event.

According to the public relations department of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, the first international exhibition of the Silk Road calligraphy, entitled “Raqse-Qalam”, will be inaugurated on 20 January 2020.

According to the secretariat of this virtual event, so far 826 calligraphy works by 151 artists have been sent to the secretariat.

Artists from Afghanistan, Algeria, China, Egypt, India, Japan, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mongolia, Poland, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Syria, Tajikistan, South Korea, Turkey, The UAE, Uzbekistan and Tunisia have sent their works to the secretariat of the first International exhibition of the Silk Road Calligraphy.

In addition to the virtual gallery (https://gallery.irunesco.org/), a number of works will be showcased in an exhibition which will be hosted by Khorasan Razavi Province (Mashhad city).

Also, according to the plans of the Secretariat, the International Conference of the Silk Road Calligraphy will be held simultaneously from 20 to 23 January 2020 and some papers have been submitted to the secretariat from all over the world.
