​ Farabi International Webinar will be held by Iran and Kazakhstan

Farabi International Webinar will be held on 19 October 2020 in cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran and Kazakhstan.

The first coordination meeting for the Farabi International Webinar was attended by Askhat Orazbay, Kazakh Ambassador to Iran and Dr. Hojatollah Ayoubi, Secretary General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO.

Askhat Orazbay said: I believe that we should further our cooperation with the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO in Iran and cultural relations between Iran and Kazakhstan should be actively fostered within the framework of UNESCO.

He continued: “this year, we will celebrate the 1150th birth anniversary of Farabi; he belongs to everyone, and each of our regions is influenced by Farabi. This scientist was born in a city called Farab in the present-day Kazakhstan. We believe that Farabi belongs to the Islamic Republic of Iran and Kazakhstan, and this great scientist is important to both countries.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran stated: Iran and Kazakhstan were supposed to have a joint event on Farabi’sbirth and we proposed to organize several conferences on Farabi, but due to the spread of Corona, we couldn’t implement our plans, so now we intend to organize a video-conference on 19 October.

He continued: “guests from Azerbaijan, Canada, Egypt, Finland, the United Kingdom, Greece, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan,Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Iran have been invited to attend the international webinar.

Hojatollah Ayoubi said: “We thank God that we have great personalities, such as Farabi, who fosters the relations of countries.”

He continued: Farabi connected the two nations and we would like to thank you for honoring the great personalities. Great personalities, regardless of belonging to a country or countries, are global figures”.

Referring to the presence of Dr. Gholami, Minister of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran atFarabi International Webinar, he said: we are ready to invite the prominent Iranian professors to speak at this international webinar.

He continued: this common heritage is a factor of cohesion and this webinar will be a model for the region. Many great works in common fields such as symphony and music can be produced about great people, such as Farabi

The meeting was attended by Hojatollah Ayoubi, Secretary General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO-Iran, Askhat Orazbay, Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Counselor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Iran, Dr. Abdol-Mahdi Mostakin, head of the culture department of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO and Dr. Amir Roshan, Secretary-General’s assistant for communication and Partnerships.
