Persian language is one of the most advanced languages in the world / The secret of Saadi’s amiable words

In the ceremony held for commemorating Saadi, Mir Jalal al-Din Kazazi, while explaining different aspects of Saadi’s poems, said: “Persian language is one of the most advanced languages ​​in the world.”

According to the public relations department of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, commemoration ceremony of “Saadi, the Iranian poet” was held on 25 April 2021 by presence of Mir Jalal al-Din Kazazi, a university professor and an everlasting name  of Persian literature, Abdul-Mahmoud Rezvani, translator of Golestan Saadi into English and Kourosh Kamali Sarvestani, head of Saadi Study Center, and Dr. Mostakin was presenter of the event, which was held as an Instagram Live Stream on the page of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO at unesco.iran.

Saadi’s writings in Golestan are written masterfully

At the beginning of the event, Mir Jalal al-Din Kazazi said: “the way Persian language is used in Saadi’s writings is not the same.  In each of his writings, a different approach is used. Saadi’s writings in Golestan are written masterfully and artistically.

To teach the words to our children, we started with Saadi’s book

Then, Abdul-Mahmoud Rezvani, translator of Saadi’s Golestan into English, said: “in the early stages of language learning, there are problems that I have said many times. But in the higher stages, the problem that children have in learning the language is that they do not know the metaphorical meanings of the words, they memorize the words like parrots without knowing how to use them, so it is difficult to learn the words. That’s why we started with Saadi’s book to help children understand the use of words.

Then, Kourosh Kamali Sarvestani, head of Saadi Study Center, was guest of the event and said: although Saadi has lived in the seventh century, his influence has lasted until today and we learn wisdom from his writings.

Saadi is a poet of life

He continued: Saadi is a poet of life and his words have an impact on the heart. Golestan creates the ethics that we still need.

Saadi encyclopedia is being compiled

In the end, he said: “we proposed to name 1 May after Saadi in 1997 and since then Saadi Study Center began to work and we have published 24 articles about Saadi. Furthermore, we have been compiling Saadi’s encyclopedia for three years and I hope that it will be published in the next May.
