8th Session of the 16th round of the Iranian National Committee for IOC
The 8th Session of the 16th round of the Iranian National Committee for IOC was held on 13 July 2016, at the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO. The Meeting was chaired by Dr Hajizadeh Zaker, President of the Iranian National Institute for Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences. It hosted representatives of member orgainsations. The Committee discussed the modality of celebrating the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem 2016. Proclaiming a national day on seas was a next item discussed by the Committee. Mrs (Dr.) Agah then briefed the session on the role of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission and the Iranian National Committee for Oceanography in promoting Agenda 2030 and the SDGs
